For Cable TV, Telephone and Communications Providers
CenterPoint Energy allows pole attachments in accordance with, and to the extent required by Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations, by bona fide cable TV (CATV) and telecommunications service providers.
CenterPoint Energy also allows communications attachments by local governmental entities in accordance with established franchise ordinances and rights-of-way agreements between CenterPoint Energy and the involved governments.
Private installations are not allowed.

Approved Contractors
Pole Load Analyses / Surveys: The list below contains contractors approved by CenterPoint Energy to provide a pole loading analysis including structural and vertical clearance analyses (collectively, pole loading analysis or PLA) on CenterPoint Energy's facilities. PLA requirements can be found in CenterPoint Energy Pole Attachment Application and Overlash Notification Requirements
Simple Make-Ready Work in the Communication Space:"Simple Make-Ready Work" shall be as defined in the FCC's rules. Contractors approved for Simple Make-Ready Work in the communication space of CenterPoint Energy's facilities must meet FCC and CenterPoint Energy requirements. For a contractor to be considered for approval by CenterPoint Energy, the attacher must submit a CONTRACTOR SELF CERTIFICATION FORM and a CONTRACTOR SAFETY EVALUATION FORM completed by their contractor. The following list contains contractors currently approved to perform simple work in the communication space of CenterPoint Energy facilities.
Complex Make-Ready Work in the Communication Space:"Complex Make-Ready Work" shall be as defined in the FCC's rules. Contractors approved for Complex Make-Ready Work in the communication space of CenterPoint Energy's facilities must meet FCC and CenterPoint Energy requirements. Work above the Communications Space for Self-Help:Contractors approved for work above the communication space (in the power space) of CenterPoint Energy's facilities must meet FCC and CenterPoint Energy requirements. Use of these contractors by approved attachers to perform work above the communication space is limited to situations where self-help is authorized under the FCC's rules. The list below contains contractors that are currently approved to perform work above the communication space on CenterPoint Energy's facilities.
